Region Director: Mr. Stan Martin, VI Dan

Mr. Stan Martin, VI Dan, started Taekwon-Do in February of 1971, and has over 24 years experience in this Martial Art. He is currently Region II Director for the USTF. In 1983, he received the Thomas J. Lipton Sportsman Award, the first one given for working with kids in the Boys Club. In 1989, he was certified as an International Umpire, certificate #400, and also as an International Instructor, certificate #486. As an International Instructor, he was one of the Instructors to teach at the World Taekwon-Do camp in Palmerton North New Zealand. The camp was held at Massey University with over 250 people attending from all over the world.

Other positions Mr. Martin has held includes being appointed as on of the Vice Presidents of the USTF, which covered an 11 state area, and 3 regions.

Mr. Martin was born in Wheatland Wyoming on 2/3/51. His parents, Andy L. Martin and Ida May Hales, owned a ranch outside of Whatland. This ranch used to be part of the old Historic 2-Bar ranch that extended from almost Canada into Missouri.

At an early age he moved to Casper Wyoming, where he finished his schooling at Natrona County High School.

Mr. Martin, currently married to Mary Ann Sanford (Seay) has five children, Robert Stanford, Dawn Michelle, Shawna Krisann, and two sons from a previous marriage, John Stanley and Clint Brady Martin.

Mr. Martin is employed at the U.S. Postal Service, and has worked there for 27 years. He is currently the Manager of Customer Service.
