Mr. Gary Meek, VI Dan

Mr. Gary Meek, Region III Director, Nebraska State Director, and National Armed Forces Director, is a VI Dan in the ITF and USTF. He is a class B International Umpire and class A National USTF Referee.

Mr. Meek began training in Thailand in 1970 under Huh Moon Sun, 6th Degree Black Belt. Mr. Meek has taught at military installations in Torrejon, Spain; Sault Ste Marie, Micigan; Yokota, Japan; Wichita, Kansas; Hahn, Germany; Sembach, Germany and finally Omaha, Nebraska. He tested for and received his 5th degree black belt in 1990 under Master C.E. Sereff, 8th Degree Black Belt and the highest ranking American in the ITF. Besides his duties as a Regional, State and National Armed Forces Director, he is the former USTF Director for Western Europe. He has attended numerous training camps, seminars, referee clinics. Mr. Meek has hosted numberous tournaments and has been the chief referee at the Nebraska Cornhuster State Games and the Missouri Show-Me-State Games. In 1994, he was nominated and selected as one of the top five instructors in the United States. This prestigious award was presented by the Father of Taekwon-Do, General Choi Hong Hi, 9th Degree Grandmaster. Mr. Meek has created and operated more than a dozen successful Taekwon-Do schools in the past 26 years. Currently, he is operating ten schools at this time, with over 235 students actively involved, and he continues to build up the USTF/ITF in this region.
