David & Ken,
I've set up rtr-atm (198.119.5.251) to BGP peer with the
NREN router (198.119.5.250) via PVC 0.101. I verified that
it was successfully advertising 169.154/16 and 128.183.33/24
(by testing with another one of our routers as an additional
peer). However, I can't ping 198.119.5.250, since the 0.101
VC doesn't exist yet on the Goddard NREN router (and I don't
know if the 198.119.5.250 address has been configured yet on
the NREN router. In any event, hopefully we're not too far
away from establishing connectivity to Goddard for the
Turbulent Convection application investigators at the VBNS
sites.
