We are attempting to go live with Andrea's research next week. In the mean
time we would like to address this week the following issue: Right now U.
of Minnisota has a high speed tunnel to you through vBNS. You currently
have PIM up ands runing on ESnet and (according to Larry Dunn) are trialing
soome upgraded code to allow a dual feed to both ESnet and vBNS. In order
to get all of this to work and talk successfully to each other we are
asking you to either, A) put the dual feed on line or B) if that is not
practical for operational reasons do a tunnel to U. of Minnisota over
ESnet/MREN or whatever other networks need to be involved for this to work.
Please reply by the end of today which option is most doable for you and
how long it would take to impliment. We would like to have this done by
very early next week. For information and support our engineer (Steve
Shultz) wil be out in Chicargo next week and would be glad to lend a hand.
