Serena Criscuoli: about the distribution of magnetic features over the
cycle and the implications of solar irradiance modeling.
Observations show that the relation between the coverage of
faculae/network and sunspots can be analytically described with a linear
function. Nevertheless, this description does not seem to be valid for
particularly active cycles, which has large impact on the modeling
of solar irradiance.
This presentation will be informal and a discussion from the
perspective of global dynamo and global diffusion models is welcome.
Serena plans to show recent results from the analysis of MDI magnetograms.
