I've spoken to my Research support (Marjory Johnson) here in NREN about
the results of last weeks conference call. She has made two
suggestions I'd like to follow up on.
The first is in regard to the demonstration of 3D VR to 3D VR that we
spoke about and plan for Super Computing 98. I understand that the
network requirements for that will be developed as the application is
developed. We would like to know what, if anything, is known about it
at this time and to be kept up to date on it's development, progress,
and identified requirements.
The second request is to attempt to enhance the Many Worlds application
by adding true multicast support instead of multiple unicast as it
appears to do now.
I fully realize that splitting a development effort between 2
objectives will jeopardize both so we feel it important to do the VR to
VR application first (for SC98) and then work on the multicast
capability.
I'd like your comments on this as added objectives to the project and
whether you believe it's possible.
