This won't happen for the current prototype, at least. No work at this
level of
the application architecture will be going on with the prototype. It really
isn't needed for it anyway; multicast isn't big enough of a win when the
number
of sites is just two or three like we're talking about with this demo.
Additionally, the tech used for the communications in the prototype is an
object-messaging based model for which multicast isn't well defined.

Please understand that the MW development that goes on is driven by its own
schedule, in turn driven by the funding and the projects and requirements of
that funding.

If all goes as planned for another project, the next generation of MW will
have
the nifty new features we're looking at for this project in the SC98
timeframe.
