I have created a session in SDR for us to try a test with (titled NREN SC98
test).
The address to use in the script changes below is : 224.2.224.238/50962
i.e. The line should look like :
cavecam="-cavecam 224.2.224.238/50962"
This should be stable as long as we retain the SDR reservation. If it
times out on us
and has to be recreated the address will change. This is being done
without the
encoding we spoke about. Lets do it simply at first ;-).

Laura, Bob and Rich:
On next Friday, 10/23/98, Steve would like to come back out there for a
full blown
test of the networking, data set, (does the data set flow through time or
is it still
static) and the multicasting. I would like to do some long range work
prior to that
via phone and email. First step would be to make the changes specified in
Bob's
email below and find out if I can see the cavecam output here at AMES. God
willing and the creek don't rise I should. If you could let me know when
you will
try this I would also like to see if some of our research partners can join
at the
same time.
